Artist’s Statement (Year 2/Semester 3)
My project for the semester was to illustrate and write a book with my friend and roommate, Paige Lee. We’ve been friends for quite a few years and we always spoke about publishing our own works and writing our own stories together to illustrate. However it has been my dream for many years longer prior to when I started talking to Paige about publishing books. Now that we have Studio I, I brought this idea up to my friend so that we could start working on our very own book for our semester’s project. The materials we had used for this project are pencil, water color paints, India ink and watercolor paper. I am very pleased with how our story turned out, and it was great to be able to do this with one of my best friends.
